Prophecy Fest proudly announces six more fascinating artists for the 2026 edition of the three day event. This includes an exclusive world premiere of Sleeping Pulse. The beautifully melancholic collaboration between ANTIMATTER’s Mick Moss and Portuguese songwriter Luís Fazendeiro from PAINTED BLACK will give their stage debut in the Balve Cave. After the triumphant return of AUTUMBLAZE at this year’s Prophecy Fest, Markus Baltes was petitioned by a host of fans to bring Paragon Of Beauty back. The vocalist heard the call and promised a one time only reunion show. Never say never, but let’s try to change his mind by celebrating their return hard. In another special, Spiritual Front will celebrate “20 Years of Armageddon Gigolo” and perform the genre-defining nihilist suicide pop masterpiece for us next year. The next edition will come with an Italian focus as Rome’s indie rockers Klimt 1918 are also going to join the fest. All those black hearts out there need not to worry as Norway’s Dold Vorde Ens Navn are putting the finishing touches to their sophomore album anytime soon, and they are confident to bring new material to be introduced by their new frontman to Balve. More darkness will be delivered by Farsot as the Thuringians are finally ready to make up for their involuntary cancellation due to medical reasons next year.

Martin Koller comments: “The great puzzle and yearly quest of creating an interesting and unique billing for Prophecy Fest is at times aided by what some like to call the ‘Balve Cave Effect'”, the fest’s founder muses. “It means, musicians playing at this amazing location with great sound and a passionate audience, that is there for the music, often want to come back as soon as possible. This paves the way for premieres, reunions, and special shows not to be seen elsewhere. The current announcement proves that we have been successful again with a little or sometimes rather much additional persuasion. We are, of course, not finished yet with trying to make some more ideas happen, but we sincerely hope that you are already looking forward to next Prophecy Fest as much as we do.”

Prophecy Fest was founded in 2015 and sold out its first edition. This singular event for dark and innovative music takes place in the Balver Kulturhöhle (“Balve Culture Cave”) in the Hönnetal (“Hönne Valley”) near the town of Balve in the Sauerland region of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The naturally formed karst cave has been used by humans since the early Stone Age (palaeolithic). This important archaeological site has yielded remains from many periods through the ages until medieval times. According to Germanic legend transmitted through the old Icelandic Thidreksaga, the mythical blacksmith Wayland came to this cave to learn his magical craft from the dwarven masters that were dwelling there.
The gravity of its history and the special acoustics of the Balve Cave provide a unique atmosphere that perfectly echoes the musical spirit of Prophecy Fest.
